The Basic Structure of Centrifugal Pump 
1. The impeller is the core part of the centrifugal pump, its speed is higher than the force, the blade on the impeller plays the main role, the impeller should pass the static balance experiment before assembly. The inner and outer surfaces on the impeller should be smooth to reduce the friction loss of the water flow.

3. The role of the pump shaft is to connect the coupling and the motor to pass the torque of the motor to the impeller, so it is the main component of transferring mechanical energy.
4. The sliding bearing is used as a transparent oil lubricant, refueling to the oil level line. Too much oil should seep along the pump shaft, and too little bearing should overheat and burn out causing accidents! During the operation of the pump, the temperature of the bearing is up to 85 degrees, and the general operation is about 60 degrees.
5. Sealing ring is also known as leakage reduction ring.
6. The packing box is mainly composed of packing, water seal ring, packing cylinder, packing gland and water seal tube. The function of the stuffing box is mainly to close the gap between the pump shell and the pump shaft, so that the water flow in the pump does not flow outside and the outside air does not enter the pump, and the vacuum in the pump is always maintained. When the pump shaft and the packing friction generate heat, it is necessary to rely on the water seal pipe to inject water into the water seal ring to cool the packing and maintain the normal operation of the pump. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the inspection of the stuffing box during the operation of the pump, and the stuffing should be replaced after 600 hours of operation.

Second, according to the work pressure to classify
1. Low pressure pump: pressure is less than 100 meters water column;
2. Medium pressure pump: pressure between 100~650 meters water column;
3. High pressure pump: the pressure is higher than 650 meters water column.

Third, according to the impeller suction mode to classify
1. Unilateral water inlet pump: also called single suction pump, that is, there is only one water inlet on the impeller;
2. Bilateral water pump: also called double suction pump, that is, there is a water inlet on both sides of the impeller. Its flow rate is twice as large as the single-suction pump, and it can be approximately regarded as two single-suction pump impellers placed back-to-back together.

2. Suction centrifugal pump (non-self-filling centrifugal pump) : the pump shaft is higher than the surface of the suction pool. Before starting, it is necessary to fill the pump shell and suction pipe with water first, and then drive the motor, so that the impeller rotates at a high speed, the water is thrown out of the impeller by centrifugal force, and the center of the impeller forms negative pressure, the water in the suction pool enters the impeller under atmospheric pressure, and is thrown out of the impeller into the pressurized water pipe by the high-speed rotating impeller.
