Construction

Metal measuring tube: As the main body of the flow meter, it is usually made of corrosion-resistant, high-strength metal materials such as stainless steel to ensure stability and durability in various media.
Float assembly: Floats are usually made of materials that are less dense than the medium being measured, such as stainless steel, aluminum, etc., and are designed to be streamlined to reduce drag. The position of the float changes with the flow and is a key component for measuring flow.
Indicator: Used to show the position of the float and thus read the flow value directly. The indicator usually has a dial or digital display for easy observation by the user.
Connecting parts: Including import and export flanges, sealing gaskets, etc., used to connect the flowmeter with the pipeline to be tested to ensure the smooth flow and sealing of the medium.
Adjustment mechanism (optional) : Some flowmeters are equipped with an adjustment mechanism to calibrate or change the operating range of the float to suit different measurement needs.

Measure Principle
The metal tube flowmeter works on the balance principle of buoyancy and gravity. When the medium flows in the measuring tube, the float is subjected to upward buoyancy, and the size of the buoyancy is proportional to the velocity (or flow) of the medium. At the same time, the float is also subjected to downward gravity. When the float is in a stable state, the buoyancy and gravity reach a balance, and the position of the float can reflect the flow rate of the medium. By reading the float position on the indicator, you can know the current flow value.

Install
Metal tube flowmeters are usually installed in the following ways:
1、Horizontal installation: The flowmeter is placed horizontally, and the import and export direction is parallel to the ground. This is the most common installation and is suitable for most measurement applications.
2、Vertical installation: The flowmeter is placed vertically, and the inlet and outlet direction is perpendicular to the ground. This type of installation is more suitable in certain situations, such as limited space or special arrangements are required.
3、Tilt installation: According to actual needs, the flow meter can also be tilted installation, but it is necessary to pay attention to the impact of the installation Angle and the flow direction of the medium on the measurement results.

Maintaining
