Fuel Filter Element for Use on Emergency Generator

No.65.12503-5025A
The fuel filter element is a precise component specifically designed to filter impurities in the fuel. It removes solid particles, moisture, and gummy substances from the fuel through physical interception.

Description

  • Working Principle
    1. Coarse Filtration Stage
The fuel first passes through an outer metal mesh or large-diameter filter paper (with a filtration accuracy of 50-100 μm), which intercepts
large particles such as iron filings and gravel. At this stage, over 85% of the visible contaminants can be removed.
    2. Fine Filtration Stage
The fuel passes through a multi-layer composite filter material (glass fiber/nanocellulose) to achieve fine filtration of 5-15 μm size, and can
remove over 99% of the tiny particles. Some high-end models adopt a gradient density design to achieve step-by-step fine filtration.

    Function
    1. Stable oil pressure
Ensure the stability of the fuel system pressure to guarantee that the engine can maintain continuous power output under various operating conditions.
    2. Improve combustion efficiency
Clean fuel can ensure more complete combustion, reduce fuel consumption and decrease exhaust emissions.
    3. Fuel injection nozzle
Avoid poor atomization caused by blockage.
    4. High-pressure oil pump
Reduce mechanical wear caused by metal particles.
    5. Emergency generator
Extend service life and reduce the probability of major repairs.

    Filter Element Replacement Precautions
    1. Environmental control
  • The operation area must be equipped with an explosion-proof ventilation system and a warning sign for hazardous operations should be hung.
  • Use explosion-proof lighting equipment that complies with ship safety standards (Ex certified), and it is strictly prohibited to carry mobile phones and other electronic devices.

     2. Fuel system processing
Start the depressurization procedure: Cut off the power supply of the fuel pump, run the engine until it naturally shuts off, and release the pressure in the fuel lines.
Use a dedicated oil collection container to collect the remaining fuel to prevent contamination of the engine room environment.

     Operation Specification
     1. Filter element compatibility
Special filter elements certified by classification societies must be used, and attention should be paid to the requirements for salt spray corrosion resistance treatment.
     2. Confirmation of installation direction
Install strictly according to the arrow mark on the filter element (fuel flow direction). Incorrect installation may lead to fuel supply interruption.
     3. Sealing integrity test
After installation, a pressure maintenance test (0.5MPa) is required, and a leak detector should be used to inspect all connections.
