Description

Core Functionality
1. Filterability
It is necessary to intercept metal particles and carbon deposits in the engine oil that are ≥10μm in size, to ensure the lubrication needs of the ship under complex sea conditions.
It must possess oil-water separation function under special working conditions.
2. Environmental Adaptability
Salt spray corrosion resistance treatment.
Operating temperature range: -40℃~100℃, pressure difference tolerance ≥15bar.

Replacement Process
1. Drain old engine oil
Start the engine to operating temperature before stopping it, and open the oil pan drain plug while it is still hot.
After the discharge is completed, clean the sealing surface of the screw plug and reinstall it according to the standard torque (30 ± 2N · m).
2. Disassembly of filter element
Use a special wrench to loosen the old filter element counterclockwise (note that residual oil may suddenly overflow).
Clean the contact surface of the filter cartridge seat and check if there are any metal shavings remaining in the sealing ring groove.
3. Install a new filter element
Apply fresh engine oil to the sealing ring of the new filter element (it is recommended to use the same brand of engine oil).
Manually screw in until the sealing ring contacts, then use a torque wrench to tighten (standard torque 15N · m, rotate 3/4 turn).
4. System check
Add new engine oil to the specified level (when cold, the oil level should be above the middle of the scale).
After starting the engine, run it at medium speed for 3 minutes and check if the oil pressure is normal (typical value 0.4-0.6MPa).

The Marine Oil Filter for Use on Emergency Generator is a core filtration device used in the emergency generator engine lubrication system to remove harmful impurities from Marine Engine Oil and ensure clean, well-lubricated engine internals.
This oil filter supports both Oil Filter and Fuel Filter roles in the engine system and features oil-water separator capability to improve oil quality under demanding marine conditions.

Core Functionality
The marine oil filter intercepts metal particles, carbon deposits and other impurities ≥10 µm in size to protect moving parts and reduce wear. It also helps separate water from the oil, contributing to stable lubrication and longer engine life.

Environmental and Performance Features
The marine oil filter is designed with corrosion-resistant treatment suitable for Anti-rust Device requirements in marine environments. It operates across wide temperature ranges (–40 ℃–100 ℃) and tolerates pressure differences ≥15 bar.

Installation and Maintenance
Proper installation of this oil filter involves replacing the cartridge element following the emergency generator manufacturer’s guidelines, ensuring correct oil-filter seal engagement and verifying oil pressure after installation.
Routine maintenance of the oil filter and related Oil Bypass Filter pathways ensures consistently clean engine lubrication and supports continued protection of critical engine components.

Typical Applications
· Marine engine rooms outfitted with emergency generator units
· Diesel engine lubrication systems requiring reliable oil-water separator function
· Preventive maintenance in commercial vessels, yachts and workboats
These applications demand robust filtration, dust and moisture removal and stable engine performance.
